Every year the cyber threat landscape evolves, and with it we learn the impacts sophisticated threats have on enterprises around the world. New guidance and regulations are continuously released which can help organisations become more cyber resilient, and mitigate ever-evolving threats. To help you navigate this changing landscape, Verizon publishes its annual Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR).

Chris Novak is Vice President of Verizon Cyber Security Consulting. He is an internationally recognized executive in the fields of Incident Response, Computer Forensics, and Threat Intelligence. He has more than 20 years of cybersecurity industry experience ranging from real-world field work to Fortune 100 C-suite and board advisory roles.

Detective Superintendent Michael (Jock) Mullen has been with the Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau since 2023 following his successful tenure with the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation where he managed the Extradition and Stolen Motor Vehicle Units. Jock served twenty years with the Dorset Police and twelve months working at the London Olympics in 2021. He brings significant experience to his role as operational commander of the Cyber Investigations and Intelligence Units within GNCCB and has oversight of the four GNCCB Regional Hubs.

Richard Pena-Ariet has just recently transferred to the US Secret Service London Office from Washington, DC. During his time in Washington, DC, he was assigned to the Presidential Protective Division and the Criminal Investigative Division (CID). While working in CID, Richard was assigned to the Cyber Desk of the Global Investigative Operations Center (GIOC) working and supporting the most significant cyber cases in the US Secret Service. Those cases involved cyber criminals/groups from around the world targeting US financial infrastructure to conduct massive fraud schemes. Richard began his career with the Secret Service in the New York Field Office (NYC). In NYC, he was a member of the Electronic Crimes Task Force (USSS) and Cyber Financial Task Force (FBI) working as a case agent combating cyber financial crimes in the NYC district.
